1) What is computer virus?
Name some important computer viruses that have stuck in recent years?



Ans:- A computer virus is a harmful program that can spread and damage your computer.  Some
well-known viruses include CryptoLocker, ILOVEYOU, MyDoom, Sasser and Netsky,
Slammer, Stuxnet, etc.



 



 2) How did a Trojan
get its name?



Ans:- A Trojan got its name from the ancient Greek story of the Trojan Horse. Like the horse, a Trojan program hides its malicious intent inside something seemingly harmless.


  



3) How is ransomware
used to extract money from users?



Ans:- Ransomware encrypts a user's files and demands payment (ransom) for the decryption key. Users pay to regain access to their data.



  



4) How is a computer
worm different from a computer virus?



Ans:- A computer virus attaches to files and needs user action to spread, while a worm spreads independently, often without user interaction.



  



5) How does an adware
generate revenue for its creator?



Ans:- Adware generates revenue for its creator by displaying advertisements to users and earning money through ad clicks or views.



 



 6) What is the basic
difference between a Trojan and a Worm?



Ans:- Worms take use of system flaws to carry out their
attacks. Trojan horse is a type of malware that runs through a program and is
interpreted as utility software.
